SINGAPORE– Design Bridge has announced the appointment of Alexandra Cerruti as the agency’s new Managing Director in Singapore. Stepping up from her previous role as Client Services Director, Alexandra will lead the Singapore Studio’s business and clients alongside Mark Budden, Design Bridge’s AsiaPac Regional Chairman, and the Studio’s Executive Creative Director, Tim Siro.
As Managing Director, Alexandra will be responsible for driving revenue growth within existing client relationships in APAC, as well as steering the new business strategy for the Singapore Studio’s business. In addition to delivering against the agency’s commercial objectives, Alexandra is also committed to driving the growth of people within her team:
“What is really unique about Design Bridge around the world is our people and our culture, and I am proud to work for a company that counts four of its five global Managing Directors as women. Alongside my colleagues, I am committed to championing female empowerment and creative leadership, and striving for a more inclusive industry. The way we nurture our client relationships is another of our core strengths, and when you pair all of this with the amazing quality of our creative work, what we can achieve collectively has no limits.” said Cerruti.
This new role marks the next step in Alexandra’s 13-year career working in the creative industry, which included a 4-year stint at Carré Noir in Paris, Publicis’ iconic French strategic design agency. Cerruti moved from France to Singapore in 2013 to join the client servicing team at Design Bridge, working her way up through the ranks to become Client Services Director in 2018.
During this time, Cerruti has worked with clients including Nestlé and Standard Chartered, and she will continue to lead the Studio’s strong partnership with Diageo, whose latest success story is McDowell’s No.1 Whisky in India. Design Bridge Singapore’s bold original thinking and brilliantly crafted design has helped the brand to sell over 30 million cases – an incredible feat for a highly competitive category, and one that has enabled McDowell’s No.1 to regain its position as the world’s largest whisky brand, five years after losing the top spot. This work is a perfect example of the agency’s philosophy and approach to design that Alexandra will be championing, both internally and externally.
“Since joining the team seven years ago, Alexandra has been instrumental in shaping and growing the business of our Singapore Studio.” says Mark Budden, Design Bridge’s AsiaPac Regional Chairman, “I’m delighted for Alexandra and her new role, and I’m looking forward to working together to ensure the continued commercial success of our clients here in Singapore and beyond.”
John Morris, CEO of Design Bridge, said of the appointment: “Growing talent at Design Bridge is key to our continued success and I’m really excited to promote Alexandra to the role of Managing Director in Singapore. With a proven track record of building client relationships with strong bonds and leading outstanding creativity on projects, I have every confidence of her success, continuing to build upon the Singapore Studio’s strong foundations.”
