Online travel marketplace aims to enable travelers around the world to "experience Asia like a local"
MANILA, MARCH 1, 2013 – Online social stay marketplace Travelmob is introducing a new feature called "Last Minute Deals" to cater to travelers who like to book their trips at the eleventh hour. The new feature is a response to findings that 50-60% of the bookings occur in the same month of travel and that the average lead time between booking and actual check-in is less than a week.
Travelmob acts as third-party agent for hosts offering and guests that are looking for non-traditional trip accommodations. "Last Minute Deals" adds to the existing Discount Tool, which allows hosts to run their own promotion and offer special discounts.
"Last Minute Deals" allow hosts to offer property available for booking within the next seven days with mandatory discount not less than 15%. The deals will be highlighted at the top of Travelmob’s search results whenever a guest searches for a property in a specific destination.
