MANILA, JULY 1, 2013 – Globe Telecom’s social media campaign for the GCASH American Express Virtual Pay won in the Social Media Programs category of the prestigious 2013 Gold Quill Award organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). IABC’s Annual Gold Quill Awards program honors the best and the brightest in international business communications.
The award recognized the GCASH American Express Virtual Pay Black Friday social media campaign which generated over four million impressions on Twitter, over P80 million-worth of online media mileage, and generated the first-ever 100% positive social media feedback for Globe in November 2012 . The hashtags #GlobeBlackFriday and #GCASH also trended in the Philippines and in Singapore.
