Get set to stay hooked on iQIYI as some of the region’s most popular celebrities star in light-hearted variety shows such as Chinese comedy show HAHAHAHAHA (December) in which former EXO member Lu Han and four artists embark on an escape to freedom. Also in December, Chinese influencer Grace Chow, ex-girlfriend of Show Lo, makes her reality show debut in the Chinese reality variety show FOURTRY (December) about celebrities who run a fashion label. The popular show’s second season also features Adam Fan, Liu Yu Xin (THE9), Ou-Yang Na Na and William Chan.
iQIYI is also proud to introduce original and exclusive content such as Something Just Like This (8 November), a story of an overbearing, dominant boss who is in love with an attractive news anchor starring acclaimed actor Wu Jin Yan from Story of Yanxi Palace; Hush (11 December), where (K-Pop fans will be thrilled to know) Im Yoon-ah of Girls’ Generation plays the role of an intern reporter in a newspaper publishing house full of anxious characters; and The Royal Secret Agent (21 December), which tells the story of a delinquent gambler assigned to work as a secret inspector as punishment featuring popular stars Kim Myung Soo, Kwon Nara, Lee Yi Kyung and Lee Tae Hwan.
Fans of romance, drama and mystery alike will be thrilled by iQIYI’s new releases for all family members this holiday season. These include Live On (18 November) starring Hwang Min Hyun from NU’EST, a romantic comedy following a popular Korean schoolgirl who joins her school’s Broadcasting Club to work hand in hand with the club’s president Go Eun Tak, to protect a secret from being revealed; Overlord (now streaming) starring Bai Lu from Love is Sweet and Leon Lai Yi from The King’s Avatar, a historical Chinese drama on conquering truth and love; and Birthcare Centre (now streaming), a Korean drama centered around an executive who stays in a post-natal care center after giving birth and develops strong bonds with the other women she meets there. Viewers can also look forward to Awaken (1 December), starring notable celebrities Nam Goong Min, Kim Seol-Hyun, and Lee Chung Ah, in a Korean thriller about crimes in a small town linked to an incident that happened 26 years before.
iQIYI is also excited to share a teaser for fans of the third season of popular talent contest Youth With You, which will be coming to screens in early 2021, this time in search of Asia’s next huge all-male group.
