This October, join us as the adobo SheCreative Network hosts “#WhatWomenBuild: Blueprints for a Sustainable Future,” a session that explores how leading brands and businesses in the country integrate sustainable principles and practices in their day-to-day operations.
Hosted and moderated by Filipino voice talent and digital content creator Inka Magnaye, the event features a series of talks on sustainability initiatives and a panel discussion with women leaders from the Asia Pacific region who are at the forefront of sustainability.

Rochelle Vandenberghe, Chief Marketing and Digital Business Officer at FWD Life Insurance
Rochelle, or Roche, leads a group of innovators and challengers in changing the way people feel about insurance as the current Chairperson of the Philippine Life Insurance Association‘s Marketing Committee. She spearheaded the launch of the insurance brand in the Philippines in 2014 and played a large role in growing the company to an award-winning, top-performing insurance provider in less than a decade. She has worked across Southeast Asia in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines managing technology, financial services, and lifestyle brands. A sought-after juror and presenter at international marketing, advertising, and ecommerce shows, Roche champions inclusion and serves as a Board Director at Special Olympics Pilipinas.
As part of FWD Life Insurance, Roche is a steadfast advocate of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, which is part of the company’s commitment to ensure a sustainably-led investment portfolio. Together with the company, Roche has also executed campaigns promoting sustainability and inclusion in both urban and remote areas in the country.
Anna Mangilin, Chief Marketing Officer, Beauty and Well-being SEA; Country Head for Beauty & Wellbeing Philippines, Unilever
A seasoned Unilever marketer, Anna spent the last 20 years in Brand Marketing roles across categories Home Care, Beauty & Personal Care, Customer Development, and most recently, Digital Commerce. She leads both Brand Marketing and Cross-functional teams across Unilever’s beauty brands: Creamsilk, Sunsilk, Dove, Tresemme, Clear, Ponds & Vaseline, as well as local jewels Eskinol, Master and Vitakeratin. Across her many years of experience, Anna has worked closely with consumers across the country and considers being able to champion the cause of Filipina women the biggest privilege in working in Unilever and within the FMCG industry.
Anna has been featured as one of the female sustainability champions under the UN Women’s International Women’s Day celebration in 2022, where she highlighted Unilever’s shift to more sustainable manufacturing processes, which involves sourcing materials responsibly and shifting to renewable energy.
Joey David-Tiempo, Founder and CEO, Octopus&Whale
Before she founded the innovative game and experience design agency Octopus&Whale, Joey was the Executive Creative Director of Nuworks Interactive Labs, and before that, the Executive Creative Director for TBWA\Digital Arts Network. Joey’s body of work has been recognized at D&AD, Cannes Lions, One Show, Clio, AWARD, LIA, and Webby, among others. She is a regular juror in the global awards circuit and has recently been invited to the inaugural juries for LIA Evolution and Creativity in the Metaverse and Entertainment Lions for Gaming. Her biggest achievement to date has been to launch a successful start-up during a global pandemic. The experience led her to author FUTUREDESIGN, the Octopus&Whale proprietary strategic tool that helps organizations navigate through constant change. She is passionate about raising young creative talent, and actively contributing to D&AD New Blood Academy and various local academic institutions.
Joey is also co-founder of the award-winning Manikako (My Doll), a non-profit group that teaches creativity and environmental responsibility to children. Together with Octopus&Whale, she joined hands with the Marine Wildlife Watch of the Philippines and Bayanichain to create the Save Our Sharks campaign, which utilizes technology in the preservation of marine life. Joey is a frequent speaker, thought leader, and mentor to young creative entrepreneurs.
Teresa Jae “Teejae” Sonza, Group Marketing Director for Coca-Cola Trademark, Coca-Cola ASEAN & South Pacific Operating Unit
Holding over 23 years of experience, Ma. Theresa Jae “Teejae” Sonza is a seasoned professional renowned for her leadership in marketing, franchise, and commercial leadership across diverse markets in the Asia Pacific region. Currently, she stands at the helm as the Group Marketing Director for Coca-Cola Trademark in ASEAN & South Pacific, leading growth, innovation, and creative development across 25 countries.
Teejae’s successful journey with Coca-Cola began in the Philippines, where she started as a management trainee in one of the company’s local operations, quickly ascending to the fore of marketing leadership a year later. Here, Teejae began her journey leading a wide range of local and global brands under Coca-Cola Philippines’ beverage portfolio.
After 18 years, Teejae took on various leadership positions of increasing impact and scale. She has led markets such as Vietnam, Cambodia, and ASEAN, and is currently overseeing the entire ASEAN & South Pacific region.
For Teejae, her ongoing journey with and at Coca-Cola has provided a remarkable platform that harmonizes her passions: crafting well-loved brands that people want, knitting together integrated consumer experiences that leave a positive impression, nurturing talent, making a significant community impact, and committing to sustainable initiatives.
Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer, Globe Telecom
Yoly is a multi-awarded professional and executive recognized by both local and international institutions in her fields of expertise, specifically, communications, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. As the Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer of Globe Telecom, Yoly handles stakeholder relations involving employee culture development through internal communications, media, and government relations, as well as the company’s corporate social responsibility and sustainability programs.
Yoly is currently a Board Member of AdSpark, the Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA), and Go Learn. She currently serves as Board of Adviser to the Public Relations Society of the Philippines. She earned her Master’s in Business Administration degree from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and Bachelor of Arts major in Communication Arts from the University of Santo Tomas.
Together with Globe, she has spearheaded a number of sustainable initiatives for the company and its communities, such as investments to help build its climate action roadmap, and partnerships that commit to plastic upcyling.
