MANILA, PHILIPPINES — In just a few days, adobo magazine will be holding its first SheCreative Network Leadership Conference “Women Arise!” at Shangri-La The Fort, BGC on Tuesday, March 28. The event will celebrate National Women’s Month, and will be heralded by today’s most powerful women leaders across the fields of marketing, media, and creative communications.

For our first large in-person gathering, we make space to share how these women made it to the top, what drives them, and how they’re growing and strengthening their team, brands, and industry. It will be an afternoon filled with ideas, inspiration, leadership, community, and conversations that create and celebrate movements for change led by women.

Showing its support for the cause, Lazada Philippines is taking the role as the conference’s co-presenter and as an advocate of women empowerment.

Representing Lazada Philippines is its very own Head of Marketing Kitty Calderon who will be joining as a speaker at the event. Under her leadership, the Lazada Marketing team launched the brand’s new positioning “Add to Cart, Add to Life,” alongside iconic Mega and Double-Digit Sale campaigns featuring the top brand ambassadors of the country. She is currently leading the team in mounting iconic campaigns. Lazada continues to empower female buyers and sellers through LazBeauty & LazLook, and personally aims to have fellow women leaders succeed in the organization. She previously held various business unit head roles in media agencies across the Philippines, Singapore, and Australia, looking after FMCG, Finance, Tech, Pharmaceutical and Real Estate industries.

“We celebrate our women leaders, customers, and sellers at Lazada not just this Women’s Month, but every day. We empower women at any life stage to have access to so many choices through LazBeauty and LazLook that let them be their best selves. We set up our female leaders to lead from the front as we continue to uplift businesses of any scale, providing better opportunities for women entrepreneurs to participate in digital commerce,” said Kitty Calderon.

“Our goals at the SheCreative Network and with this conference are to give women the necessary tools to be better leaders and build even better businesses, and to light the path to a female-led future. We hope that through the shared stories of success of our speakers and the support of our co-presenter Lazada Philippines, women can find it in them to forge a field full of aspirational and empowered individuals, and pave the way for others,” shared Angel Guerrero, Founder, President, and Editor-in-Chief of adobo magazine and adobo SheCreative Network.

The event will also feature keynote speaker Bernadette Romulo Puyat, Deputy Governor at Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, followed by guest speakers composed of industry trailblazers: Margot Torres, Managing Director of McDonald’s Philippines; Mariles Gustilo, Senior Director of Arts & Culture at the Ayala Foundation, Inc., Manila and Senior Director at the Ayala Museum, Manila; Pebbles Sy, Chief Technology and Operations Officer of GCash; and Maricelle Narciso, current member of the Philippine Navy Board of Advisers and former Country General Manager at PepsiCo, Inc.
