MANILA, PHILIPPINES — To close a year of bringing women together and amplifying their voices across the Asia Pacific region, the adobo SheCreative Network is inviting everyone to tune in to its last hybrid session of the year titled “What Women Build: Tech Geeks and Gamechangers,” happening on Thursday, December 01, 4:30 pm.

Hosted by adobo magazine’s Editorial Director Nina Unlay, the roundtable will explore how technology has evolved the way we experience the world — and how women are at the helm of the new virtual landscape.

QBO Co-founder and Director Katrina Chan will be the session’s opening speaker. Katrina also serves as Executive Director of IdeaSpace, a CVC and accelerator of the PLDT/MPIC group led by MVP. QBO, a Philippine innovation hub and startup platform founded in 2016, is the first of its kind public-private partnership initiative in the country specifically geared to provide resources and support to accelerate the growth of Philippine tech startup companies, now a growing community of 700 startups and over 150 partners.

Katrina will be followed up by Bea Evardone, Group Chief Operating Officer of the Republiq Group of Companies. Bea leads the creation of business and products that showcase the VisMin culture through BAI TV, a digital media channel, BAI Social, a digital talent agency, BaiCon InFest, fan festival and BAI Media Intelligence, a social listening and insight mining center. Bea recently led the production BaiCon InFest, the biggest gathering of influencers in the Philippines. 

Next after Bea is Cheng Kabigting, Head of Sales and Marketing at KROMA Entertainment. With over a decade’s worth of experience working with digital and media brands across the country, Cheng brings her expertise into KROMA, a TraDigital Entertainment company that brings together passionate content creators, the best talent, and innovative technology to produce fresh and engaging entertainment for the Filipino audience. Prior to Kroma, she was instrumental in growing the digital business of Globe Telecom by driving mobile data and content partnerships.

Closing the session is Unilever Philippines Digital Hub Lead of Beauty & Wellbeing at Southeast Asia Wence Wenceslao. Wence has 15 years driving digital businesses & is the Digital Hub Lead of Unilever Philippines, driving digital and data-driven marketing in the country. In her tenure, she helped The Hub receive 10 awards, most notably Digital Hub of the Year, besting competitors across multiple global markets. The Hub also launched the U-COIN loyalty program, U-COINVille metaverse, and other pioneering initiatives to drive more meaningful relationships with consumers.

As the women-led session went hybrid this July, the event will be broadcasted live from the Astbury at Poblacion, Makati.
