Known as one of the most prestigious awards in the country, the Philippine Quill Awards is organized by the International Association of Business Communicators Philippines (IABC PH). In its 19th iteration, the awards followed the theme “Move: Stronger Together.”
“The challenges we have faced the past years have definitely changed the course of business communication. However, these challenges only fuel our creative endeavors, especially those that empower women and the creative industry in its entirety,” said Angel Guerrero, adobo Magazine’s Founder, President, and Editor-in-Chief.
The pandemic has pivoted the adobo SheCreative Network into a digital-first initiative, successfully building a network and support system of women creatives in the emerging Philippine creative economy by featuring fearless and distinguished female leaders across creative industries who served as mentors to women creatives, leveraging adobo’s high-profile network and industry reputation.
Simultaneously, adobo considered the shifting readership priorities and launched adobo Talks: The Business of Creativity, a program of high-level educational discussions aimed at creative professionals that explore creativity-based solutions as the currency of innovation and growth. The series is available on-demand on adobo Magazine’s YouTube channel:
Both adobo SheCreative Network and adobo Talks: The Business of Creativity were the brainchild of Angel and her team. With the intent to maximize the limited resources at hand, adobo Magazine thrived in a difficult time and gained new demographics beyond its already established influence in the creative industry.
