All the Asian agencies that made the 2024 Cannes Lions Film cut

CANNES, FRANCE — Film Lions form the backbones of the Cannes Lions Awards, with winners in this category often representing the best in filmed content for brand storytelling. It encompasses filmed content for TV, cinema, online, and out-of-home experiences.

Entries from Singapore, Thailand, India, Taiwan, and India have made the shortlist, as well as the “Made on iPhone” cross-country venture featuring TBWA’s United States, Japan, and China branches. High-profile directors Takashi Miike and Marc Webb showcased the Apple iPhone 15’s capabilities with shorts filmed directly on the device.

This year includes a Use of Humor category to further emphasize the importance of humor in the cultural context in which these films are made. Thailand has strong showings in this category with Ogilvy Bangkok, Sour Bangkok, and Choojai and Friends Bangkok shortlisted.
