BERLIN, GERMANY — Berlin Commercial has released the shortlist for their 2021 edition. The heavily curated selection features over 400 productions from more than 30 countries, including projects from established production companies such as caviar, stink, rsa films, phantasm, canada, frenzy picture as well as up and coming directors. The event will take place in Berlin on August 10-14, 2021 via free in-person networking events at partnering production companies and agencies.
Berlin Commercial recognises talent across three main areas: Commercial Work, Music Videos, and Personal Work. A strong focus is also laid on craft categories, aiming to highlight and reward the talent involved in every production. As with its 2020 edition, the event supports emerging directors through the New Generation Award and culturally relevant content through the Cultural Impact Award.
The shortlist is currently available on Berlin Commercial’s website and will be shared via its new Instagram account. In line with Berlin Commercial’s values, the channel becomes an additional opportunity to be part of a curated pool of film talent and be discovered by brands, production companies and agencies.
In January 2021, in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Germany and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Berlin Commercial reactivated its fashion film format which now runs separately.
