Awards: DDB Tribal Worldwide teams win silver, bronze for Philippines in Young Spikes Competitions 2022

PHILIPPINES — Two teams from Tribal Worldwide Philippines (Tribal), the digital Total Experience™ agency of DDB Group Philippines, took home Silver and Bronze awards from the recently concluded Spikes Asia Young Spikes Competitions 2022.

The Young Spikes Competitions provide Asia Pacific’s next generation of creative talent from the advertising and communications businesses a unique chance to gain recognition and make their mark in the industry. The Tribal teams were the only ones from the Philippines who bagged awards in this year’s Young Spikes Competitions.

The first Tribal team composed of Drei Peñaranda and Celine Hembrador won Silver in the Young Spikes PR Competition with the innovative PR campaign they created effectively addressing the brief given by the competition partner.

The second Tribal team composed of Randy Baraceros and Pauline Funa won Bronze at the Young Spikes Digital Competition with their digital-led campaign being able to show how the power of digital technology can answer the competition brief in a creative way.

PR and Digital are two of the five categories of the 2022 Young Spikes virtual competitions. 

Tribal Worldwide Philippines Managing Director Diane Chua said that it has always been the goal of the agency to produce some of the industry’s if not the region’s brightest creatives.

“We are very proud of our Tribal Young Spikes – our home-grown, world-class talent. We encourage our young members to join the yearly competitions to further enrich their experience by working on challenging creative briefs and be evaluated by experts in the field. The agency’s future is looking brighter because of them,” said Chua.

Tribal Executive Creative Director Dan Pambid said that the success of their young members just proves the quality of training and exposure they get from working with one of the country’s leading digital creative agencies. 

“Creative competition is something that we at Tribal regularly try to immerse ourselves in. It gives us the mindset that there is a wealth of ideas waiting to be explored, outside of the daily briefs. If there’s a brief out there, we are more than ready to take it on and produce world-class work.”
