MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Broadcast giant GMA Network and two of its news pillars – Jessica Soho and Mike Enriquez – were again hailed as the Filipinos’ most trusted in the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards for this year.
The Kapuso Network took the Platinum Award for the TV Network category anew, the top honor among the trusted brands in the Reader’sDigest annual event.
“At GMA, we go beyond quality. Over the years, we have produced game-changing and innovative programs that created an impact in the TV industry and even, to a certain extent, in the Filipino culture. We give viewers a healthy balance of credible and relevant news and public affairs programming as well as meaningful storylines for entertainment,” said GMA Network Chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon.
“There is also one thing GMA is known for: Serbisyong Totoo. We do not stop with telling stories on-air. Equally important is our responsibility off-camera. Beyond ratings and sales, we serve the community through CSR programs and projects. And through time, our viewers have rewarded us with their trust and patronage which we are much grateful for,” he expressed.
Moreover, Reader’s Digest Hall of Famer Jessica Soho was likewise recognized again as this year’s “Most Trusted News Presenter.” The award-winning broadcast journalist hosts one of the country’s top programs on-air and is the most followed Filipino TV show on Facebook, “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.”
Fellow GMA News pillar Mike Enriquez got his seventh “Most Trusted Radio Presenter” award this year as Filipinos continue to recognize his unparalleled Serbisyong Totoo. Enriquez anchors the top-rating Super Radyo DZBB 594 program “Super Balita sa Umaga Nationwide.”
The 23rd Annual Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards recognizes which products and services, as well as the personalities, Filipinos trust the most. The winners of the 2021 awards were announced in the June issue of the Reader’s Digest magazine.
