NEW YORK, USA – In light of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, London International Awards (LIA) has made the decision not to accept entries from Russian-based entrants for the 2022 show.
LIA has also decided that Ukrainian entrants will not be charged entry fees or any ancillary fees throughout 2022.
Barbara Levy, President of LIA, said “The decision to ban Russian submissions was not made lightly. As a company, we do not support unjust aggression of any form and are fully behind all efforts for peace. Therefore, we stand in solidarity with Ukraine and its creative community, in the face of tremendous adversity, the depths of which most of us can only imagine.”
LIA was Created for Creatives. LIA remains passionate about celebrating creative work from all over the world and advancing the creative community with continued programs to mentor and coach young creatives.
It is the organization’s fervent hope that this war ends quickly and all colleagues, families and friends remain safe and well during these tumultuous times.
