AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND — Until now, the New Zealand Axis awards might not have been on your radar. That’s understandable, given they’re hosted on a remote island somewhere in the Pacific. But this year is a very special one for Axis, as it will be The World’s First Advertising Award Show IRL*.
To mark this significant international milestone, New Zealand is inviting everyone to attend.
“Your place is set at the World Table, and via webcam, we’d love to share the night with you. Witness New Zealand advertising people winning IRL*, losing IRL*, and celebrating IRL* for all our friends and colleagues overseas who would love to, but can’t right now,” Axis says in a statement.
The company adds, “Join us at Axis-21, Thursday 18 March. Dress code: whatever you like, it’s your house. Drinks and dinner may be provided, depending on what you have in your fridge.”
Natasha Galloway, Director of Events & Marketing at The Commercial Communications Council, says, “We’re delighted to share this invite with the global industry, to celebrate some of the good that came out of 2020. We look forward to welcoming you all under many roofs.”
