MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Ogilvy Philippines won Gold for PH Creative Agency of the Year, and Silvers for PH Digital AOY and PH PR AOY at the 2021 Campaign Asia-Pacific AOY awards.

“It’s been a truly exciting and challenging period in our Agency journey marked by unprecedented collaboration between colleagues in Brand, Experience, PR, Health and Growth & Innovation to find intersections where the magic happens for our brands. Who knew that so much creativity would be borne out of agile work in lockdown? We’re ecstatic that we can celebrate all this good work together with our client partners,” said Elly Puyat, Ogilvy Group Philippines CEO.

“It’s an honor to win Agency of the Year, more so at a time when our clients’ businesses have been tested at an unprecedented level. This award shows how creativity, innovation and people need to work together to make businesses thrive,” said Mike Sicam, Executive Creative Director.

This also came at the heels of a Gold from the 4As 2021 Kidlat Awards for Creative Effectiveness, Tech Innovation of the Year from the IMMAP 2021 Boomerang Awards, a Bronze for Branded Utility from the 2021 Asia Pacific Effies, and a Gold and Silver from the 2021 London International Awards.

Meanwhile, the Silver for Digital AOY evidences how Ogilvy Philippines responded to the spike in digital adoption which changed the consumer’s ‘minimum experience expectations. “Beyond online ads and e-commerce, Ogilvy went to the core of what makes experiences work – the consumer – and built our clients’ businesses around them. The agency’s approach is not just a digital transformation strategy, but an experience transformation that future-proofs growth for our partners and our people, purposefully,” said Caloy Sambrano, Managing Director for Experience.

The Silver for PR AOY is a nod to innovation and creativity in storytelling and delivery in a PR landscape that hugely went virtual. “New services went into play: engagements on emerging online platforms; data and analytics-informed campaigns; workshops to help pivot client marketing and comms models to digital; co-creating new narratives around brand authenticity, purpose, and sustainability; B2B and health communications,” said Leah Huang, Managing Director of Ogilvy Public Relations.

“The winning work spans categories and clients—harnessing the power at the intersections of capabilities and talent. This is borderless creativity. This brings borderless growth opportunities for our employees and clients,” said Puyat.
