SINGAPORE — Omnicom Media Group (OMG) Singapore has been named as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia at the HR Asia Awards 2021. As the only media agency awarded this accolade, OMG Singapore surpassed the industry average benchmarks across all criteria including workplace excellence and employee engagement. This achievement is a testament to the organisation’s mission in creating a workplace that champions diversity, inclusivity, and growth with a people-first mindset.
The survey, conducted with HR Asia’s customised tool, assesses and measures employee engagement in three categories – Core, Self, and Group. The Core category measures the collective organisation for real engagement, while the Self and Group categories cover other areas such as emotional engagement, motivation, and team dynamics.
Chloe Neo, Chief Operating Officer of OMG Singapore shared, “We are truly humbled and honoured to receive this recognition. This acknowledgement is dedicated to our people who are the driving force behind our success, a testament to our collective commitment and passion in creating an open and collaborative workplace that we are all proud of. As one of the leading agency networks in the region, it is our responsibility to ensure our people have a conducive environment to work in. At OMG Singapore, we are committed to help our people achieve their full potential while ensuring their well-being remains our utmost priority.”
While 2021 continued to pose challenges for companies to engage their employees, OMG Singapore took the opportunity to rethink its employee experience journey while also adapting to constantly evolving circumstances. One key example – addressing the mental toll that the pandemic took on its employees.
OMG Singapore was swift to recognise the importance of developing a mental wellness plan for its employees. As such, 2021 saw the network roll out key mental wellness initiatives throughout the year. From launching company-wide mental wellness benefits to offering virtual mental wellness classes on a regular basis, these efforts all ladder up to one single aim – to ensure OMG Singapore employees feel safe, seen, and supported.
In addition, OMG Singapore also partnered with Intellect, Asia’s fastest-growing mental health tech company, to provide all employees access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). A one-stop mental health support platform, the EAP allows OMG Singapore employees access to guided tips as well as licensed psychologist and certified behavioral coaches to help them in their mental wellness journey. The EAP was a huge success and as a result, OMG Singapore’s framework for the collaboration was used as a blueprint to scale the EAP across all OMG markets in Asia Pacific.
