MANILA, PHILIPPINES — With over 800 entries from some of the country’s biggest names at the ARISE: 18th Philippine Quill Awards, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) was recognized as one of the deserving few to bring home the prestigious Golden Feather.

One of the most distinguished awards programs in the field of business communication, The Philippine Quill awards the seal of approval to some of the country’s most reputable organizations who make use of excellent communications to achieve business goals and to make a difference in society. The winning entry titled ‘Every Step of the Way: How RCBC used digital to help clients move forward in the face of the pandemic’, strongly echoed this year’s theme of ‘ARISE: Communications that uplift’ – a theme that calls on communicators to shine a light on what truly matters and inspire Filipinos to rise and move forward amidst challenging times.

“The needs and challenges of our clients are always in our hearts and minds,” said Ces Natividad, Chief Marketing Officer of RCBC. “It’s the core of everything we do and being recognized for it, for showing Filipinos that we can help them move forward through every personal banking need or challenge they face, makes it all more rewarding and worthwhile.”

In partnership with Entropia CBR, RCBC’s campaign made use of their clients’ data to truly understand their profiles, challenges, and needs during the pandemic. From this, they launched a personalization-at-scale strategy that matched each client’s need with the right banking solution. The campaign not only maximized conversion to RCBC’s online banking services but ultimately, uplifted their clients that they could still fulfill their banking needs despite the challenges.

“The success of the campaign is a true testament of how RCBC hand-holds their clients every step of the way,” said Entropia CBR’s Principal for Data Analytics, Insights and Media Performance Kaye Enriquez, “By helping them anticipate and understand the unique and personal challenges their clients are facing, we were able to communicate the right solutions to help them move forward. We’re happy with the results, but we’re ecstatic about how this campaign helped empower others during difficult times.”

Winning at the 18th Philippine Quill Awards officially makes it the 11th time RCBC receives a Golden Feather since they started joining in 2018. This also comes a few months after their campaign nabbed an exclusive Platinum and Gold at the 2020 MarCom Awards, one of the largest and most respected competitions in the world.
