Awards: Campaign Asia reveals Southeast Asia winners of 2020 Agency of the Year; TBWA makes it to the top, Singapore agencies most awarded

SOUTHEAST ASIA– Campaign Asia has revealed this year’s Southeast Asia winners in the 2020 Agency of the Year awards where TBWA wins big, scoring both Southeast Asia Creative Agency of the Year and Southeast Asia Digital Agency of the Year.

Meanwhile, ADA scored the Southeast Asia Independent Agency of the Year; UM was named the Southeast Asia Media Agency of the Year and Edelman, the Southeast Asia PR Agency of the Year

Singapore emerges with 32 accolades:

  • Gold for McCann Worldgroup; silver for TBWA\Group Singapore; silver for The Secret Little Agency under Singapore Creative Agency of the Year
  • Gold for MRM; silver for DDB Group Singapore; and bronze for TBWA\Group Singapore.
  • Gold for Havas Media Singapore, and silver for UM under the Singapore Media Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for Edelman Singapore; silver for W Communications; and bronze for both Mutant and Tate Anzur under Singapore PR Agency of the Year.
  • Bronze for Forsman & Bodenfors Singapore Southeast Asia Boutique Agency of the Year.
  • Two golds for R/GA Singapore under Southeast Asia Brand Experience Agency of the Year and Southeast Asia Content Marketing Agency of the Year respectively.
  • Gold for VSSP; a silver each for GOVT Singapore and The Secret Little Agency under Singapore Independent Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for TBWA\Group Singapore and silver for McCann Worldgroup under Southeast Asia Integrated Marketing Agency of the Year.
  • Silver for MediaMonks, and bronze for Tag under Southeast Asia Production Company of the Year.
  • Silver for DDB Group Singapore and bronze for Edelman Digital Singapore under Southeast Asia Social Media Agency of the Year.
  • Silver for TBWA\Group Singapore under Southeast Asia Talent Development Program of the Year.
  • Singapore also amassed seven awards for people and team vertical, including GOVT SIngapore, Edelman Singapore, TBWA\Singapore, and Devries Public Relations.

Philippines wins big with 19 citations from the awarding:

  • Gold for GIGIL; silver for TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno; and bronze for BBDO Guerrero under Philippines Creative Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for NuWorks Interactive Labs; silver for Propel Manila; and bronze for SVEN under the Philippines Digital Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for OMD Philippines; silver for UM; and bronze for Touch XDA, under Philippines Media Agency of the Year.
  • Silver for Ripple8 and bronze for PRIXM under Philippines PR Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for IDEASXMACHINA Group Of Hakuhodo; silver for DDB Group Philippines under Southeast Asia Best Culture category.
  • Gold for GIGIL; silver for NuWorks Interactive Labs; and bronze for SEVEN A.D. under the Philippines Independent Agency of the Year category.
  • Bronze for Brand-Y under Southeast Asia Market Research Agency of the Year category.
  • Gold for GIGIL / 7-Eleven CLIQQ and bronze for GIGIL / Orocan under Southeast Asia Agency Marketer Partnership of the Year.
  • Bronze for Flare Manila under Southeast Asia Production Company of the year.
  • Gold for IDEASXMACHINA Group Of Hakuhodo and bronze for GIGIL under the Southeast Asia Talent Development Program of the Year.
  • IDEASXMACHINA Group Of Hakuhodo also had one of its Senior Art Director, Christine Gamboa, named as Southeast Asia Young Achiever of the Year.

Thailand has 16 awards:

  • A silver each for GREYnJ UNITED and SOUR Bangkok; and bronze for TBWA\Thailand under Thailand Creative Agency of the Year.
  • All silvers for Digital Arts Network; dotMATTERS; and Winder Egency under Thailand Digital Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for UM; silver for Carat Thailand; and bronze for dentsu  under Thailand Media Agency of the Year.
  • Silver for GREYnJ UNITED / Kasikorn Bank under Southeast Asia Agency Marketer Partnership of the Year.
  • Two silvers for SOUR Bangkok under Southeast Asia Boutique Agency of the Year; and Southeast Asia Brand Experience Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for Winter Egency; silver for Heroleads Asia; and bronze for Appysnth under Thailand Independent Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for Winter Egency under Southeast Asia Social MEdia Agency of the Year.

Indonesia took home 13 awards:

  • Gold for M&C Saatchi Indonesia; silver for TBWA\Indonesia; and bronze for Dentsu MainAd under Indonesia Creative Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for Redcomm Indonesia; silver for dentsu X Indonesia; and M&C Saatchi Indonesia under Indonesia Digital Agency of the Year
  • Gold for DwiSapta Media, and silver for dentsu X Indonesia under Indonesia Media Agency of the Year.
  • Bronze for dentsu X Indonesia under Southeast Asia Content Marketing Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for M&C Saatchi Indonesia; silver for Redcomm Indonesia; and bronze for ADA under Indonesia Independent Agency of the Year category.
  • Silver for iProspect Valuklik under the category Southeast Asia Specialist Agency of the Year.
  • In addition to these, M&C Saatchi Indonesia’s Anish Daryani was awarded the Southeast Asia Agency Head of the Year.

Malaysia places second with 12 awards:

  • Gold for Grey Malaysia; silver foe Ensembke Worldwide & UM Studios; and bronze for TBWA\Kuala Lumpur under Malaysia Creative Agency of the Year.
  • Gold for universal McCann & UM Studios; silver for PHD MEdia; and bronze for Kingdom Digital Solutions under Malaysia Digital Agency of the Year category.
  • Gold for OMD Malayisa; silver for Universal McCann; and bronze for Ampersand Advisory under Malaysia MEdia Agency of the Year.
  • For Malaysia Independent Agency of the Year category, ADA and Ampersand grabbed a silver each and Kingdom Digital Solutions got a bronze award.
  • Grey Malaysia scored a bronze under Southeast Asia Intedrated Marketing Agency of the Year.

Vietnam has 11 awards:

  • Gold for TBWA\Group Vietnam; silver for DDB &Tribal Vietnam; and bronze for Happiness Saigon under Vietnam Creative Agency of the Year category
  • Gold for TBWA\Digital Arts Network; silver for RED2 Digital; and bronze for Mango Digital under Vietnam Digital Agency of the Year
  • Silver for dentsu X Vietnam for Vietnam Media Agency of the Year
  • Gold for Ki Saigon under Southeast Asia Boutique Agency of the Year
  • A silver each for Ki Saigon and RED2 Digital; and bronze for The Purpose Group under Vietnam Independent Agency of the Year.

Myanmar runs with nine wins:

  • Two silvers each for ERA Myanmar and Synapse Original, and one bronze under Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar Creative Agency of the Year category.
  • A silver award for Nexlabs; and bronze for Synapse Original under Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar Digital Agency of the Year category
  • Two bronze awards for Mango Media and Passion Point Media Company Limited under Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar Media Agency of the Year category
  • One silver for Blink and bronze ERA Myanmar under Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar Independent Agency of the Year category
