D&AD Awards 2024 unveils judges from over 50 countries

LONDON, UK — Much to the excitement of the advertising industry, D&AD has revealed its jury for its 62nd edition. The awards program will occur at the new location of County Hall and Southbank Centre on the London Southbank from May 18 to 22. Panels for over 40 categories will be made up of over 350 leading creative experts from over 50 countries across the globe. 

This year, 67 professionals from Asia Pacific will travel to London to participate in the judging process. These are made up of 16 from Australia, 11 from Japan, 10 from India, eight from China, six from Singapore, four from South Korea, four from New Zealand, three from the Philippines, two from Indonesia, two from Thailand, and one from Taiwan.

These jury members have been carefully selected to come together for live judging of the past year’s best work across the global design and advertising industries. They will award creative excellence with the belief that creativity is a major driver in commercial, economic, social, and cultural success. They will recognize work that inspires established talent and encourages the next generation.

Following four days of live judging, the D&AD Awards Ceremony will be held as the culminating event of the D&AD Festival at the Southbank Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hall Building. The Festival will gather over 350 global creative leaders and feature more than 80 speakers, two main stages, the Masterclass stage, activations, Jury insights, networking, parties, and a first view of some of the shortlisted work on display.

Winners are awarded with an iconic Pencil, the world’s most coveted design award. Last year, entrants from APAC won 87 Pencils: 25 to Australia, six to New Zealand, three to Korea, four to Taiwan, two to Thailand, 17 to China, three to Hong Kong, two to Macau, eight to India, 11 to Japan, and three to Singapore.

Leading industry experts joining the 2024 juries from APAC include Tea Uglow, Impact Jury; Tiger Pan, Packaging Design Jury; Yoshihiro Yagi, Art Direction Jury; Kyoko Yonezawa, Digital & Social Jury; Jacqui Lim, Media Jury; Deepshikha Dharmaraj, PR Jury; Leisa Wall, Commerce Jury; Jureeporn Thaidumrong, Entertainment Jury; Joey David Tiempo, Gaming & Virtual Worlds Jury; David Guerrero, Film Jury; Woon Hoh, Press & Outdoor Jury; Ken-tsai Lee, Typography Jury; and Sonal Chhajerh, Direct Jury.
