Dentsu continues streak for ‘My Japan Railway’ with five noms in APAC’s 156 finalists for the ADC 103rd Annual Awards

NEW YORK, USA — The One Club for Creativity announced 156 finalists  from 12 countries and regions in APAC in the global ADC 103rd Annual Awards.

Dentsu Tokyo leads the region with 17 ADC 103rd Annual Awards finalists, including five for “My Japan Railway” on behalf of JR Group, Japan Railway 150th Anniversary Campaign, and two each for Honda Motor Co., Ltd. “Move,” Jaxa “Human Art at the Frontier,” With ALS “Project Humanity,” and The Hokkoku Shimbun with “Reach for the Summit.”

SIX Inc. Tokyo has 10 finalists, including six for Sotetsu Holdings “A Train of Memories,” and three for Sony Interactive Entertainment / PlayStation “Play Has No Limits feat. King Gnu.”  TBWA\Media Arts Lab Shanghai has eight, all for “Little Garlic” on behalf of Apple.

With six ADC 103rd Annual Awards finalists is Banana Balloon Shenzhen, with five of them coming for Tencent/Tencent Sustainable Social Value “Answer Me.” M&C Saatchi Sydney has five finalists, all for “The Plastic Forecast” on behalf of Minderoo Foundation.   

Indego Design Macau SAR-China has four ADC finalists for Naughty Roll “Gummies,” as does Mount Inc. Tokyo for “Perfect Days official movie site”, and TBWA\Hakuhodo Tokyo for “Shellmet” on behalf of Koushi Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., Sarufutsu Village.  

ShenZhen Lingyun Creative Packaging Design Co., Ltd. Shenzhen also has four finalists, including two each for Jinmailang Food Co., Ltd. “Jinmailang Handmade Noodles” illustration, and Shenzhen Yanzhi Brand Management Consulting Co., Ltd. “LaoGuangLiangFang” illustration and packaging design.

The number of APAC finalists by country and region are mainland China with 66, Japan with 53, Australia with 11, Macau SAR-China with sive, Malaysia with five, Taiwan-China and Vietnam with three each, Hong Kong-SAR, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand with two each, and one for India.

Globally, a pair of agencies lead in ADC 103rd Annual Awards finalists with 21 each: Rethink Toronto/Montreal/Vancouver and Serviceplan Germany Munich. FCB New York has 19 finalists, including 16 for AB InBev, Michelob ULTRA “Dreamcaster,” which is the entry with the most finalists selections this year.

A total of 769 finalists entries were selected by this year’s esteemed ADC 103rd Annual Awards jury.  The complete searchable list of this year’s finalists is available here.

All finalists will win a Gold, Silver or Bronze Cube or Merit, to be announced on May 15. ADC Gold and special award winners will be celebrated at the gala awards ceremony at Gotham Hall during Creative Week in New York.
