MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The jury of Young Guns 20 has finally narrowed the entrants down to 84 finalists for the legendary portfolio competition for creative professionals 30 years of age and under after weeks of careful deliberation. The roster of finalists includes eight exceptional creatives who are based in the Asia Pacific region.
Among the finalists hailing from APAC is Pau Tiu, a visual artist and designer from the Philippines. They are also the studio director and one of the co-founders of Bad Student Risograph Art Press & Design Studio.
Pau was recently awarded third place in the One Club’s latest grant program, COLORFUL: A Prelude to Young Guns, for BIPOC creatives.
Pau is known for producing visual brand identities for Filipino musicians and has also worked for big brands such as Adidas, Apple, Fred Perry, and Unicef.
The other creative minds that stunned the jury and made it to the final round of judging are:
- Hiromu Oka – Tokyo, Japan
- Joseph Dennis – Fremantle, Australia
- Kalp Sanghvi – Kolkata, India
- Minji Moon – Seoul, South Korea
- Princess Hidir – Istanbul, Turkey
- Yulong Lli – Shanghai, China
The competition is far from over. Now, the finalists head to the last round of voting, after which the jury will choose who will be the winners and will get to join an exclusive club of some of the best creatives in the game. The winners will be announced on November 02, followed by the Young Guns 20 ceremony and party in New York two weeks later.
