CANNES, FRANCE — The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has released its second to last wave of shortlists, covering the festival’s first-ever category, Film Lions, as well as the Creative Business Transformation Lions, Creative Commerce Lions, Creative Effectiveness Lions, Creative Strategy Lions, and the inaugural Luxury & Lifestyle Lions.
GIGIL Manila is the only Philippine agency to secure a shortlist in this round, receiving a nod for its work Summer for Grab Ride-Hailing and Food Delivery App. This is the independent agency’s third time getting shortlisted in the Film Lions category in four years. The past two times, in 2021 and 2022, it converted its shortlist into Bronze Film Lions.

Across the rest of the five categories, Asian agencies from five countries have secured 11 shortlists across eight campaigns. Notable shortlists among them are Edelman Bangkok’s “Let Her Grow” campaign for Dove which has been shortlisted three times in the Creative Strategy Lions, and Leo Burnett Mumbai’s “#BringBack2011” campaign for Oreo which secured two shortlists in the Creative Effectiveness Lions.
