MUMBAI, INDIA — One bold idea. Four accolades. A purple front page that echoed across a nation. Havas Creative India has made a powerful statement on the global creative stage, taking home a Grande, a Gold, and two Bronze awards at ADFEST 2025 with its stirring campaign Ink of Democracy for The Times of India.
At the heart of this campaign was a single, arresting visual: the entire front page printed in deep purple ink, symbolizing the stockpile of unused electoral ink in a striking metaphor for the untapped potential of every uncast vote. With India’s General Elections looming, the message was simple, direct, and deeply resonant: I Vote For Sure.

The impact of the campaign was unprecedented, contributing to a record-breaking voter turnout:
- 642 million voters, the highest ever in Indian history
- 30 million more voters than previous elections
- 280% increase in brand mentions and engagement
The campaign has won awards in the following categories:
- Grande – Creative Strategy Lotus (Contextual Insight)
- Gold – Creative Strategy Lotus (Corporate Image & CSR)
- Bronze – Press Lotus (Corporate Image & CSR)
- Bronze – Direct Lotus (Print & Outdoor)
Anupama Ramaswamy, Joint MD & Chief Creative Officer, Havas Creative India, said, “My young team, Soham and Ravinder, came up with a simple yet powerful idea. One look and I knew this was magic. Because the power of an idea is to drive a meaningful change. In this case, we made the most popular newspaper remind the citizens about their duty and help shape the future of our nation.”
