BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA — MAD STARS has opened for registration to its annual Young Stars MAD Competition, the global marketing and advertising contest that aims to turn college students into M.A.D field stars.
The Young Stars MAD Competition is an outstanding opportunity for talented young professionals to travel to South Korea and show their talents to the world by planning and producing a video or print advertisement on-site within 30 hours. Applications will be open until May 26 (KST).
Finalists will be announced following the online preliminary judging, and the announcement will be made on the MAD STARS website on June 11. The final round will take place in Busan, Korea, over four days starting from August 20 in the period for MAD STARS 2024.
To apply for the Young Stars MAD Competition, students must send their completed application submission and portfolio within the registration period. Students may apply as individuals or teams. They must be currently enrolled as students or graduate students (master’s degree) in college or university. Students on leave, military service personnel, and those with suspension of graduation are also eligible.
The registration fee for the final round is KRW 300,000. Finalists will receive feedback and coaching from 10 juries comprising top-level experts in advertising and marketing from around the world. Additionally, they will have the chance to gain insights into the latest trends and innovative ideation techniques. They will also be given the opportunity to network with juries. Winners are awarded a trophy for achieving a bronze or above and are eligible for internships at renowned advertising agencies.
