MANILA – November 11, 2013 – Typhoon Yolanda barreled through the Philippines over the weekend, leaving widespread destruction in its wake, particularly in Leyte island, which received the strongest blows.
The typhoon has affected over 2.1 million families, with an estimated 96,039 staying in evacuation centers, Rappler reports.
