CANNES, FRANCE — Serviceplan Group took home one Gold, five Silver, and five Bronze Lions from the 70th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. This included one Gold, three Silver, and four Bronze for Serviceplan and Mediaplus, as well as two Silver and one Bronze for Serviceplan Group’s new Serviceplan Americas partners L&C NYC.
The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has championed creative excellence since 1954, providing the definitive benchmark for creativity that drives progress, globally, and the 2023 edition took place in Cannes between June 19 to 23. Cannes Lions received a total of 26,992 entries in 2023, an increase of 6% from 2022.

For Serviceplan Group the 2023 Cannes Lions was all about nurturing young talent, with four teams representing at the Global Young Lions Competition (three from Germany and one from Austria.) Serviceplan Group also hosted a SPARK Experience Program with young talent from eight different locations around the world joining the program at Serviceplan’s House of Communication in Cannes.

A highlight of the week was the awarding of one Gold and one Bronze Lion to AIZOME WASTECARE in Design for Serviceplan Innovation. Serviceplan Innovation partnered with Japanes textile startup AIZOME on the development of WASTECARE, a sustainable skincare product created from wastewater sourced from AIZOME’s textile dyeing factory.
L&C NYC won one Silver and one Bronze Lion for ABinBEV‘s “Nativa Meter” in the Corporate Purpose & Social Responsibility and Design categories. L&C also won a Silver for PIÑATEX, Dole in Creative Strategy / Corporate Purpose & Social Responsibility.
Serviceplan Innovation and Serviceplan Korea won one Silver and one Bronze for Dot, Dot Pad, the first smart tactile graphics display, in the Creative Business Transformation and Health & Wellness Tech categories.
A Silver Lion was awarded to Serviceplan Germany’s “The New House of Communication” in Design. Mediaplus won a Silver Lion for Hinz & Kunzt‘s “The Homeless Gallery” in Media / Metaverse, New Realities & Emerging Tech.
PENNY‘s The Rift won one Bronze Lion in Film Craft / Sound Design. Also awarded one Bronze Lion was the Serviceplan Berlin campaign “Saved Memories,” Transklar E.V. / Trans-Ident E.V. / Rosa Strippe in Direct / Not-for-Profit, Charity, Government.
