SINGAPORE — The 2024 Spikes Asia Awards have officially released its shortlists of finalists, with Australia having the most number of shortlisted entries by a wide margin. With the current tally, Australia leads the way with 140 finalists across the 22 major categories, while Japan comes in second place with 93. India finished with the third-most shortlisted entries at 84. This article will be updated as more information is made available.
Spikes Asia is one of the APAC region’s most prestigious creative communications awards, celebrating the best in creativity for nearly 40 years. This year’s awards are being held from March 13-14, 2024 in Singapore. The jury has already shortlisted the entries eligible to take home the coveted metals, with winners to be announced at tomorrow’s awarding ceremony at Swissotel The Stamford.
Among the ads to look out for in the official shortlists available below is “Fitchix” by Honest Eggs Co., which was shortlisted for a competition-best 16 awards, while “A Train of Memories” by SIX INC. and good design company is the second-most shortlisted entry with 10. “Play It Safe” by The Monkeys, Sydney, “Aizome Wastecare™ Industrial Waste – Certified as Skincare” by Serviceplan, and “Milk Manga” by VML Ogilvy Japan are all tied for third-most, with nine each.
Dentsu Inc., Tokyo is the competition’s most-shortlisted agency, contributing to 38 finalists. The Monkeys, Sydney was involved with 29 – good for second-most – while Leo Burnett Mumbai rounds out the top three most-shortlisted agencies with 22 total.

Brand Experience & Activation
The most competitive category in this year’s Spikes Asia Awards features a six-way tie for most nominations, with three each: “Fitchix” (Consumer Goods, Small-Scale Media, Market Disruption), “Aizome Wastecare” (Consumer Services/Business to Business, Customer Acquisition & Retention, Corporate Purpose & Social Responsibility), “Autotranslate” by TBWA\Sydney (Travel, Leisure, Retail, Restaurants & Fast Food Chains; Use of Mobile & Devices; Experience Transformation), “Shift 20 Initiative” by Special Sydney and the Dylan Alcott Foundation (Not-for-Profit/Charity/Government, Large Scale Media, Sponsorship & Brand Partnership), “Total Sports and Fitness Hotel” by BBDO India (Guerrilla Marketing & Stunts, Customer Retail/In-Store Experience, Local Brand), and “The Everything Book” by Dentsu Creative Gurgaon (Experience Transformation, Single-Market Campaign, Tech-Led Brand Experience).

“Fitchix” is the sole leader this time in the Creative Commerce category, and is shortlisted for three awards: Consumer Goods, Innovative Use of Media, and Market Disruption.

“Lay’s Smart Farm” by Leo Burnett Mumbai leads the way with three nominations in the Creative Data category, having been shortlisted for Data-Enhanced Creativity, Data-Driven Consumer Product, and Data Technology.

The Design category is led by two entries, which each having been shortlisted for two awards. “My Japan Railway” by Dentsu Inc., Tokyo is in the running for Publications & Brand Collateral and Digital & Interactive Design, while “Aizome Wastecare – Industrial Waste Certified as Skincare” by Serviceplan is nominated for Beauty/Healthcare and Innovative Solutions.
