MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The viral SIM Registration campaign videos of mobile brand TNT have been shortlisted at the New York Festivals 2023 Advertising Awards.
TNT’s Mother and Tattoo were both shortlisted in the Film: Best Use Viral in Social Media category.
On the other hand, TNT’s SIM Registration Drive Campaign was part of the Film Best Use Social/Environmental Good category.
The New York Festivals honors exceptional contributions from individuals and companies within the international advertising community. TNT’s viral online videos were shortlisted from hundreds of submissions from 60 countries.

Over 100 million views across platforms
All three videos were produced by TNT with GIGIL Philippines, sticking to the brand promise of delivering saya or fun, even in public service reminders.
“As a brand, TNT has been known for promoting happiness and positivity, so we made sure to reflect it’s fun personality while delivering an important reminder to encourage our subscribers to register their SIM,” said Lloyd Manaloto, FVP and Head of Prepaid and Content at Smart.
The videos have garnered over 100 million views across social media channels like YouTube, Facebook and TikTok, with viewers citing it for being “hilarious,” “creative,” and “unskippable.”
More importantly, the campaign moved over seven million subscribers registered within just 10 days after its launch, proving the effectiveness of the videos.
Leader in SIM Registration
As of July 20, Smart and TNT continue to lead SIM Registration in the country with 49.3 million registered subscribers, which is 74% of its declared subscriber base.
