MANILA, September 11, 2013 – To the delight of Filipino bookworms everywhere, the 34th Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) opened today at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay.
The longest-running and arguably most popular book fair in the country, MIBF boasts over 300 exhibitors both local and foreign.
The fair features several talks by writers and other authorities of the publishing industry. Speakers include health undersecretary Enrique Tayag, renowned director Jose Javier Reyes, and senators Nancy Binay and Chiz Escudero. A full schedule is available on the MIBF website.
MIBF co-events include Best of Anime 2013, a gathering for Filipino anime fans; Educare, a conference on the education of young children; and the National Conference on Language and Literature.
MIBF will run until September 15.
