‘Make the Call’: Learn from the best at IMMAP’s 3rd Mobile Marketing Congress

MANILA – October 21, 2013 – Apart from bringing the latest trends and forecasts on mobile marketing, the IMMAP Mobile and Marketing Congress is the best event to get global perspectives first-hand from the minds that create them. 

 
Participants will get the chance to meet the people behind fantastic mobile campaigns at this year’s Mobile Marketing Congress (MMC), which will be held on October 24 to 25 at the Rockwell Theaters.

The MMC all-star cast also includes Smart Communications Group Head for Multimedia Leah Besa-Jimenez, and Rico Wyder, Asia Pacific Director of Fiksu.
 
“It’s the major mobile marketing event of IMMAP, and like every year, this is going to be just as interesting,” says Sherwin Sowy, Deputy Managing Director at MRM Manila, and IMMAP Director. Sowy co-chairs “Make that Call” with Dennis Caharian, General Manager and Senior Vice-president of GMA New Media. 
 
The Mobile Marketing Congress will showcase mobile technology and the latest trends in marketing. The numbers people will find mobile statistics by Nielsen truly useful, but there’s also a lot to learn from user experience from other markets, IMMAP said. The MMC includes talks on “The Japanese Mobile Marketing Experience” with Lawrence Cosh-Ishii, Director of Mobikyo.  
 
“The event has a segment on start-ups like LooLoo and ZapTag, where they will share their success stories. There are topics that will be interesting for both agencies and marketers,” added Sowy. 
 
“Make the Call” puts the spotlights on creativity that sells with talks including “Mobile Experience Design: How to design mobile UX” with Brendon Chase, MRM Head of UX, as well as  “Future Outlook of Mobile Devices and Design” by Mantosh Malhotra, Regional Head of Qualcomm, Inc.
 
For gamers, a huge sector of which are on mobile, there’s “How my games reach the Top 10 of the US & Canada Appstores” by Erick Garayblas, Founder of KuyiMobile.
 
Mobile has always been big in the country—after all, the Philippines is not the texting capital of the world for nothing, IMMAP said. Smartphones are making their way across a wider market, thanks to the entry of locally made smartphones. At the MMC, participants can get the low-down on the Philippines’ best smartphone brands Cherry Mobile, MyPhone and how they grabbed market share from the global brands.
 
Mobile has truly reinvented itself, and quite literally, it’s placing the future in the palm of your hand today.
