Aki Kakegawa joins Dentsu senior management team

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, September 10, 2013 – Dentsu Network/Asia has reinforced their senior management team by appointing Aki Kakegawa as senior vice president and director of multinational clients. He will be based in Singapore.

Kakegawa is relocating from his previous post as senior vice president and international account director of Dentsu Network in New York. In his new role, Kakegawa will report to Dentsu Network/Asia chairman and CEO Dick van Motman. Kakegawa will take charge of Dentsu’s Client Council and manage key client relationships across Southeast Asia and Australia.

“I am very pleased to join Dentsu’s Regional Management team in Singapore at a time when we are seeing extensive growth in the market across South East Asia, with many companies looking to expand into this region," Kakegawa said.

Kakegawa draws from over 24 years of experience in multiple industries, working with clients such as Toyota and Canon. He joined Dentsu in 1989, and oversaw the launch of Toyota’s Lexus brand in Japan as strategic planning director.
