BBDO Guerrero wins BDO account

MANILA – October 17, 2013 – Following a four-way pitch against unnamed agencies, BBDO Guerrero has been appointed to work on BDO Unibank Inc.’s institutional campaign, to be launched in 2014.

BBDO replaces Gallardo & Associates, the incumbent ad agency for BDO.
 
The 2014 campaign will cover BDO’s retail and business banking, and will reinforce the brand’s core brand positioning.

BDO is currently ranked as the Philippines’ largest bank in terms of total assets, loans, deposits, capital and trust funds under management. It was recently named the Best Asian Bank for 2013 by FinanceAsia, a first for a Philippine bank.
 
According to a press release from BBDO, "Feedback from the bank’s final decision indicated that BBDO presented strong strategic thinking and creative strategy. Their work showed a well-connected point-by-point response to BDO’s advertising brief and it leveraged the strength of the institution in a way that is evolutionary."
