MANILA – October 10, 2013 – Pasig-based Caven Studios, Inc. collaborated with the Philippine Electric Market Corporation (PEMC) to produce marketing materials for the launch of the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA).
The RCOA gives customers the freedom to choose from where and from whom to get their electricity supply.
"Initially available to high-consumption industrial and commercial customers, it will eventually be accessible to households," said Caven Studios, which won the bid for the project against three other suppliers based on the team’s creative and execution plan to best explain how RCOA works.
With its expertise on cross-media design, Caven Studios developed a modular four-video and booklet package explaining RCOA’s scope.
The challenge to be able to explain a very technical topic was met by choosing a light mood, executed through a mix of shoot production, motion graphics and infographic design.
“It was very entertaining and funny,” said Peter Lee U, Ph.D, a member of the Market Surveillance Committee (MSC). “The video laymanized the difficult topic of the electricity market.”
The client also collaborated with Caven Studios for the production of another launch video, in which a combination of motion graphics and 3D graphics was used to effectively illustrate the Interim Mindanao Electricity Market (IMEM), aimed at addressing the power situation in Mindanao.
Caven Studios has been collaborating with PEMC since 2005, creating their Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) launch video and the Electricity 101 series, as well as their updated WESM video in 2010.
