ASIA-PACIFIC, JANUARY 3, 2012: To further strengthen McCann Worldgroup’s leadership structure in Asia, the company has designated separate leaders for Asia Pacific and South Asia regions. Charles Cadell will be take the lead for Asia Pacific as President while Prasoon Joshi will lead the company’s South Asia region also as president while effective January 1, 2012. Both leaders will be directly reporting to McCann Worldgroup’s Chairman and CEO, Nick Brien.
Based in Singapore, Charles will assume responsibility of managing and growing McCann Worldgroup businesses across Asia Pacific, including China, Japan, Korea and Australia. On December 1, 2011, Yasuyuki Katagi returned to the McCann network as CEO of McCann Worldgroup Japan and Korea and will report to Charles Cadell. Prasoon Joshi will continue to lead McCann Worldgroup’s presence across South Asia, represented by India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
Michael McLaren, CEO & Chairman, McCann Worldgroup Japan, will return to New York effective January 1, 2012, to assume the newly created role of President of MRM East and Chief Client Solutions Director. In this new role, McLaren will assume executive leadership for the company operations across New York, Princeton and Detroit, including oversight for creative excellence, talent development and growth goals. In addition, McLaren will become executive owner of MRM’s top 20 client relationships, with global leadership across these key accounts as well as driving collaboration across McCann Worldgroup.

Nick Brien believes that McLaren has done a terrific job in Japan and the new appointment will give an excellent opportunity to build on that experience within MRM.
