September 18, 2013 – Just off her stint as digital planning director at the Manila office of MRM Worldwide, Bea Atienza has joined another McCann Worldgroup company, Commonwealth.
At Commonwealth, Atienza is a digital strategist for the global team handling the Chevrolet brand. She is based in the agency’s Shanghai office.
Commonwealth is a subsidiary of McCann Worldgroup, and is Chevrolet’s global advertising agency of record.
"I do digital strategic planning for markets across Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, South Africa, and the Middle East for one of our largest global accounts," she explained in an email to adobo.
Atienza shared, "It is a huge challenge to learn the brand, products, and competitors, as well as the business and digital landscapes across all those markets."
"But it is exciting to be working as an integral part of a global team on a category that is so dependent on digital through all stages of the marketing funnel," she added.
Atienza joined Commonwealth with a slew of awards to her name from her time at MRM Manila. In 2012, she was awarded Campaign Asia Account Person of the Year, as well as MRM Rising Star at the McCann Worldgroup global awards. That same year, MRM Manila also bagged the digital excellence metal at the AOYs, and was named Philippine Digital Agency of the Year by Campaign Asia.
She also studied digital media marketing at New York University while working at MRM New York.
