FIC announces management team updates

ASIA PACIFIC – Following its move to strengthen its management team in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, Fox International Channels (FIC) has shared updates on four of its executives. 
 
Simeon Dawes, who was appointed Senior Vice President, continues to head FOX Ones Stop Media (FOSM) and is currently the Executive Vice President, Advertising Sales & Partnerships, Asia Pacific and Middle East at FOSM.
 
As Executive Vice President for FOX One Stop Media (FOSM), Dawes oversees all advertising sales across APAC and the Middle East. FOSM is a unique one-stop ad sales solution tapping into 21st Century FOX’s broadcast network, as well as FOX International Channels’ global network and its three- prong business model – TV, online and mobile platforms to maximize the overall investment return of media buying made by advertisers. FOSM is the region’s most-watched international TV channel advertising network, representing more than 43 premium international channel brands across entertainment, sports, factual, news and lifestyle. This includes FIC’s three world renowned brands – STAR brands, FOX and National Geographic, thus offering advertisers choice, efficiency and impact to deploy effective media solutions in and across multiple markets.
 
Based in Hong Kong, Dawes leads FOSM’s vast network of advertising sales veterans across 14 markets across Asia Pacific and the Middle East to drive pan-regional advertising sales revenue. He reports to Zubin Gandevia, Chief Operating Officer of FIC in Asia.
 
A regional media professional with more than 18 years of solid experience, Dawes embarked on his career in Australia by earning key roles in renowned advertising agencies, such as McCann Erickson and DDB before focusing on the international broadcasting sector with a move to CNBC Asia. Later, he joined Discovery Channel as sales director, before taking on the role as head of regional advertising sales across Asia Pacific. In 2009 he moved to FIC in a consultancy role before moving into his current role in 2010.

Sheshadri is currently VP for Advertising Sales and Partnerships where he is responsible for leading the production, research and campaign execution of 360° media solutions for regional advertisers under FOX One Stop Media, Asia’s most-watched international TV channel advertising network.
 
Prior to his current role, Rajesh was the Territory Head of Hong Kong, where he further expanded the local business in terms of channel portfolio, localized content, packaging, marketing and local advertising sales.
 
Rajesh transferred to Hong Kong after five years at FIC in India, where he was Senior Vice President of Content and Communication and managed the content and marketing operations in terms of the channels’ market share, market volume and brand profitability. A 12-year industry veteran, Rajesh has developed some of India’s highest profile TV, radio and print media, and made significant contributions towards FIC’s success, which includes strengthening the presence of brands like National Geographic Channel and FOX History & Entertainment; as well as setting the stage for the upcoming ones like Baby TV, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Adventure, Nat Geo Music and National Geographic Channel HD.
 
In prior years, Rajesh looked after the marketing function at TV Today where he was responsible for Aaj Tak, Headlines Today and Red FM. Prior to that, he worked as a Brand Manager at The Express Group.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal, and a University degree in Mechanical Engineering from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

Both Jude Turcuato and Yvonne Tay continue to head FIC’s efforts in the Philippines and Singapore respectively although their title has changed to Senior Vice President and Territory Head, FOX International Channels Philippines (Jude Turcuato) and Senior Vice President and Territory Head, FOX International Channels Singapore (Yvonne Tay).

" width="250" height="167" hspace="5" align="right" alt="" />As Senior Vice President and currently the Territory Head for Philippines, Turcuato joined FOX International Channels in June 2009 to strengthen its channel offerings in the Philippines. Jude focuses on reinforcing support for the network’s channel brands including National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Adventure, Nat Geo Wild, and FOXCRIME, by maintaining lasting relationships with the network’s distributor – Asian Cable Communications Inc (ACCION); growing stable of affiliate partners, and by directing effective marketing strategies. In addition to this, Jude is responsible for driving advertising sales efforts in the territory to maintain stable revenue growth of the network.
 
Turcuato is a marketer with a deep understanding of the local television industry. Drawing on a career that have spanned sales and marketing, television production and Internet entrepreneurship, Jude wields online and traditional means of advertising with panache.
 
Before joining FOX International Channels, Turcuato was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Solar Entertainment’s TV Sports Networks, where he chaired the launch of the world’s first 24-hour basketball channel. He was also instrumental in the successful broadcast of the company’s biggest properties including the Beijing Olympics, the Manny Pacquiao Boxing Fights, the 2006 World Cup, and the National Basketball Association (NBA). Concurrently, Turcuato was the anchor of the three most popular basketball leagues in the Philippines, the NBA, the PBA, and the UAAP. He is also a New Media veteran, heading up the iAyala subsidiary early in his career to make “Pinoyexchange.com” the largest online community in the Philippines.
 
Jude holds a master’s degree of Broadcast Communication from Ateneo de Manila University, and a bachelor’s degree of Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University, USA.

" width="250" height="167" hspace="5" align="left" alt="" />As Senior Vice President and Territory Head, Tay is responsible for further expanding FOX International Channels’ business in Singapore through building affiliate and advertiser relationships as well as well as creating deeper connections between the network’s brands and its audiences through localization efforts. In her role, she oversees the sales, marketing and overall operations in this market for more than 30 channels, including National Geographic Channel, FOX, FOX Movies Premium, STAR World, STAR Chinese Channel and channel M to name a few. Tay also manages both a regional and a local advertising sales team under the FOX One Stop Media division in Singapore, driving partnerships with and delivering integrated solutions for high profile brands.
 
Prior to her current role, Tay was based in Hong Kong as Vice President of Advertising Sales and Partnerships for the National Geographic Channel and FOX International Channels, where she directed the regional ad sales business and partnership development. She managed a strong network of Asia- based regional and global advertising clients for the National Geographic Channel, Fox News and SKY News across this region.
 
Tay joined News Corporation’s STAR TV in 2000 as an Account Manager, where she helped build the foundation of the advertising business in Southeast Asia for the National Geographic Channel, before she became Director of Advertising Sales & Partnerships for SEA in 2004. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in Arts, majoring in Theatre Studies and Literature.
