MANILA – November 11, 2013 – Havas Media Group Ortega, the Philippine operation of Havas Media Group, has launched its second agency brand in the country, Arena.

Arena expands in the Philippines as part of the Asia Pacific launch earlier this year, which has seen it rolled out to ten markets in the region, Havas Media Group Ortega said in a press release.

Positioned as an integrated media agency, Arena will work with specialist brands within Havas Media Group Ortega in the Philippines to provide media planning and buying, digital, activation, and creative solutions to clients across all platforms.

Within months of launch, Arena has already racked up a raft of new business, Havas Media Group Ortega said. Arena launched the media campaign of Kakao Talk, now the leading free mobile chat app for iOS and Android in the country. Arena is also the Digital Agency of Record of LBC, the Philippines’ top express courier, cargo and money remittance company. Other clients on the Arena roster include Krispy Kreme, LG, Phoenix Petroleum, Coca-Cola FEMSA, Subaru, Ocean Adventure, and JobsDB Singapore.

Commenting on the launch, Jos Ortega, Chairman and CEO of Havas Media Group Ortega, said, “We’re pleased that Arena’s launch has had so much traction with new clients even at this relatively early stage.”

And it’s exactly what we need if we want to raise the bar for integrated solutions in the country. We’ve put together Executive Creative Director Lawin Bulatao with Business Unit Director Sherwin Bautista, Trading & Accountability Director Rosahlee Bautista, and a talented, young, multidisciplinary team. The impact has definitely and definitively been felt throughout the organization. They’re proving that media, digital, and creative can do more than co-exist. They can flourish.”

Globally, Arena will continue to be managed by Havas Media Group’s Executive Committee led by Alfonso Rodes, Havas Media Group’s CEO and Global Managing Director Dominique Delport. Arena will draw its planning processes from the global framework of Meaningful Brands and offer integrated media solutions in sync with the group’s “digital at the core” proposition.
