MANILA – November 4, 2013 – Mobile is clearly changing the way we do things today, and the 2013 Mobile Festival will dive into this phenomenon in detail. Opening on November 25, the festival features five plenaries focusing on the different areas that mobile is transforming.
The first plenary will be about how mobile is transforming business models, with discussions on WeChat, GrabTaxi, and Google’s mobile-first perspective.
Plenary two will talk about how mobile transforms retail and commerce, and will cover McDonald’s mobile marketing success, SSI Group’s modernization of retail marketing, and mobile commerce through bCode.
The third plenary will discuss how mobile transforms marketing, and will feature speakers from Twitter, Mobext, Yoose, InMobi, and StrikeAd covering topics such as location-based marketing, creative brand experiences, new technologies in mobile media, among others.
Plenary four will cover how mobile transforms media, with talks on TV-mobile integration by Fremantle Media, mobile’s effect on content consumption and creation by Rappler, and the future of mobile and media convergence by SMART.
The final plenary will feature a panel discussion on how mobile transforms customer care, covering loyalty programs for businesses, new customer care technology, and reinventing rewards in the mobile world.
Speakers include Twitter’s Amy Saper, McDonald’s Daniel Lee, Mobext’s Valli Lakshmanan, Fremantle Media’s Rushit Jhaveri, InMobi’s Phalgun Raju, Yoose’s Christian Geissendoerfer, SSI Group’s Reuben Ravago, Google’s Narciso Reyes, StrikeAd’s Carl Costa, and Smart Communication’s Leah Besa-Jimenez.
The festival will also include "The Pitch," the first local mobile marketing strategy competition, with select students of the Mobile Marketing Academy participating.
Interested participants can register at the Mobile Festival website. The early bird rate (until November 10) is P3,900 plus VAT, while the regular rate is P8,900 plus VAT. The rate for students and members of the academe is P2,500 plus VAT.
Those who are coming in groups can also avail of the corporate packages of P9,900 plus VAT for groups of three, and P16,500 for groups of five, with additional slots for those who register before November 10.
