MANILA, September 17, 2013 – In a world of Facebook viral videos and Instagram hashtags, is radio still relevant? It can be if you listen to creative radio specialist Tony Hertz, who will be speaking at the next adobo Main Course this October 15.
The adobo Main Course with Tony Hertz, will take place at the Mind Museum auditorium in Bonifacio Global City from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Hertz will lead two sessions.
For the first, "Make More Waves – the neglected element of Brand Communication," Hertz will detail the importance of audio in enhancing communication strategies, and will cover all aspects of brand sound. The session will also include key points from Hertz’s new book, The 7 Secrets of Creative Radio.
For the second session, "How to Present Radio so Clients Won’t Kill It," Hertz will demonstrate alternative methods of presenting radio concepts and scripts to clients. The session will also include a workshop where participants can apply what they learned through a hands-on presentation.
Hertz has brought his seminars and workshops to 37 countries in the past decade. On top of that, he’s been part of the radio jury for high-profile awards shows such as Cannes Lions, D&AD, AdFest, London International, and Clio.
He moved to Manila in June 2012, and got right to work, bringing home a Cannes Silver Lion for his first radio directing outing with McCann and the Philippine Cancer Society.
Hertz also happens to be the only person who has won both Black and Yellow Pencils for radio at the D&AD Awards. He was also once a radio spy. It seems that when it comes to radio advertising, there is no better teacher.
Registration is at P1,000 for students, P1,600 for early bird, and P2,000 for regular. Interested participants can log on to www.adobomagazine.com/maincourse, email info@adobomagazine.com, or contact 0906 359 9167 or 0999 983 7403.
