MANILA – January 28, 2014 – BBDO Guerrero recently launched a new Lola Techie campaign for Bayan Telecommunications’ Bayan Bundle DSL-Wifi plus Landline with a three-part series of films, supported by a digital campaign, billboards, print ads and flyers. In this new chapter, Lola Techie gives her own brand of techie support to her brokenhearted grandson, JR.
The Lola Techie character was created in 2009 and became strongly associated with Bayan Telecommunications, working wonders for the brand’s image and market performance, BBDO Guerrero said in a press release. The campaign has been awarded for creative and effectiveness both locally and internationally.
Executive Creative Director Tin Sanchez explained why the campaign clicked with the audience: “All Filipinos can relate to having a strict lola. But you don’t expect one to be the face of a high-tech service. Her character is refreshing and just right for a brand like Bayan.”
