MANILA – December 19, 2013 – By now, pretty much everyone will be familiar with the "Hanggang saan aabot ang 20 pesos mo?" ads for Selecta Cornetto that show a perennially-broke young man getting the funniest deals for his 20 pesos–the price of a Selecta Cornetto cone.

For 20 pesos, our penniless hero has managed to buy half a burger, a one-sided haircut, a flashlight rave, and a five-second sweater in the form of a human hug.

The latest 20-peso misadventure is perhaps the most ‘exciting’ yet. It does, after all, take place in an amusement park, where the young man and his friends buy a ride on a rollercoaster.

Of course, with only 20-pesos to spare, their rollecoaster ride was rather more makeshift–the amusement park workers improvised the ride themselves, providing the turns and trembles themselves, and using electric fans to recreate that rollercoaster rush.

As with the previous ads, the spot ends with a cone of Cornetto–the Chocoberry variant in this case–which, for our protagonist, turns out to be the best thing his 20-peso bill can buy.
