MANILA – November 18, 2013 – Mondelez and Ogilvy & Mather received four citations onstage at the 2013 Marketing Events Awards held last October in Singapore, Ogilvy said in a press release. Their campaign “Tang Project RecyClass” won a Gold for Best Consistency in Branding, a Silver for Best Multi-Channel Campaign, and two Bronzes for Best Use of Technology, and Best Digital Integration.

“Project RecyClass” is the first-ever nationwide recycling campaign for kids by kids which brings to life the Tang advocacy for kid empowerment, Ogilvy explained. To date, around 250,000 kids across the country have collected over a million foil packs that will be made into school chairs to be distributed across 30 public schools nationwide. The 2013 objective is to produce 10,000 school chairs for deserving classrooms.

“Tang is a brand that celebrates the hero in every kid and this year we empowered the children that make up our Tang Galing Club to not only choose their joint cause but to inspire other young Filipinos to make a positive difference,” said Alex Dan Tacderas, Mondelez SEA Regional Director, Powdered Beverages.

“The project idea was co-created with kids, their parents, and development experts. Our partners at Ogilvy & Mather worked with us across their 360 disciplines – Ogilvy Advertising, Ogilvy One, Ogilvy PR, Social@Ogilvy and Ogilvy Action – to bring our vision to life.  We are truly excited by the results!”

Peachy Pacquing, Ogilvy & Mather Philippines Head of Country said, “The Marketing Events Awards recognizes creative excellence, strategic marketing, and operational precision—and so being cited as among the very best of Asia’s event marketing, management and planning industry can only further fuel us  to stay creative and effective for our client-partners and their stakeholders. Recognition for this ‘work that works’ really does point to how multi-disciplinary teams under one Ogilvy roof collaborate to, in turn, best co-create with clients.”
