MANILA,July 10, 2013-An annual exhibit for arts and crafts, MaARTE, continues to fulfill the Museum Foundation of the Philippines’ mandate to promote greater awareness and appreciation of the Philippines’ rich artistic and cultural heritage.
Event co-organizer Maritess Pineda credited her experiences in export with giving her the contacts and knowhow to assemble a list of creators who were known by their craft and were willing to sell their works on the market.
First introduced in 2009, MaARTE, boasts a variety of craft and jewelry for sale. Bringing together artisans from all over the country, the event is one of several in association with the Museum Foundation of the Philippines, which undertakes regular signature and media campaigns to provide a permanent home for the National Museum.
