ASIA-PACIFIC – CHINA, FEBRUARY 28, 2013 – Ogilvy & Mather Advertising/Beijing has appointed Juggi Ramakrishnan as executive creative director, effective immediately. The position was last held by Bill Chan, who left the agency May 2012.

In his new role, Ramakrishnan will lead the production of creative work that is as rich in local flavor for the Chinese market as it is internationally accessible. Another priority will be to inspire and nurture local creative talent to produce high-caliber work.

With more than two decades of industry experience, Ramakrishnan is no stranger to the O&M network. Since 2010, his last role was as deputy regional ECD at O&M Advertising Asia Pacific, where he worked with regional offices to lead the business wins for Royal Philips, ICC T20 World Cup and Schweppes. Before joining O&M, Ramakrishnan was the ECD of BBDO Proximity Singapore from 2007 to 2010 and at Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore for 11 years prior to that, during which the agency became the most awarded agency in Asia in 2007.

Graham Fink, O&M China chief creative officer, said: “Juggi is a very passionate man with exceptional creative talent – having won an incredible 16 Lions at Cannes. I believe his addition will generate bigger, more integrated ideas and help ignite a new creative era at O&M Beijing.”
