ASIA-PACIFIC – BEIJING, CHINA, JULY 13, 2012: OgilvyOne China appointed Gao Yan as vice president of operations while Beijing executive creative director Doug Schiff’s role has expanded to include national responsibility for all OgilvyOne creative work and talent management in China. Both promotions are effective immediately.
Yan, who started her Ogilvy & Mather journey 19 years ago as a media planner, served as OgilyOne Beijing’s head of operations. In her new national role, Yan will continue to streamline internal operations and management systems, strengthen integration between offices, oversee training and career development initiatives, and help drive new business growth and market expansion.
Schiff, with over seven years at Ogilvy China, has contributed in a variety of ways to the output of some of the offices’ best creative, which landed them major awards. His supervision of the consistently strong work on IBM and that of other Beijing clients has led to this expanded role, wherein Schiff will manage and mentor all OgilvyOne creative teams in China, oversee all creative work, as well as training and talent development.
According to OgilvyOne China president Angel Chen, the promotions, along with the return of Billboard Kwok as vice president of E-commerce, show their hard work in building a “best-in-class management team that not only has strategic vision but also superior execution capabilities”.  She added: “…there’s no limit to what we can achieve with this strong group at the helm.”
