Omnicom Media Group hires Dan Ryan Catalan to lead Research

MANILA, JULY 3, 2013 – Omnicom Media Group Philippines has appointed freelance research and strategic marketing consultant, Dan Ryan Catalan as research director. Catalan will be responsible for strengthening OMG Philippines’ (OMD, PHD, and M2M) overall research capability and continuously provide useful and up-to-date consumer and market data to tailor-fit advertising solutions for various brands.

Catalan is no stranger to OMG as he was employed as research manager at PHD Philippines in 2007. Prior to PHD, Dan worked as a Research Analyst at commercial television & radio giant, GMA Network Inc.

After his two-year stint with PHD, Catalan became a freelance research and strategic marketing consultant for several award-winning advertising agencies like TBWA-SMP, and renowned research companies such as Millward Brown, Saffron Hill, and PSRC. During his time as a freelancer, from 2009 to 2012, he specialized in consumer insights & brand planning, strategic marketing, TAM analysis, and customised qualitative and quantitative researching.
