PANA and PANAF induct 2014 Officers and Board of Directors

MANILA – January 27, 2014 – The new officers and board of directors of the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) formally accepted their roles at an induction ceremony held at the Intercontinental Manila on January 27.

The new officers are: 
President: Blen Fernando – VP for Marketing, Alaska Milk Corporation
Vice-President: Sandra Puno – Director of Communications, Nestle Philippines, Inc.
Secretary: Clint Navales – Country Communications Leader, Procter & Gamble Distributing (Phils.)
Treasurer: Raul Alvarez – VP and Head, HOME Marketing Support, PLDT Co.
PRO: Maye Yao – Co Say, Chief Operating Officer, Richwell Philippines, Inc. 
Auditor: Marilen Forsuelo – Product Marketing Manager, The Medical City  
 
Meanwhile, the new Board of Directors are:
Bunny Aguilar – VP Communication Channels, Globe Telecom          
Darlene Chiong – FVP for Media, Digital, CMI and Activations, Smart Communications, Inc
Stephanie Ann Cua – Marketing Manager, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp.
Yasmin Mallari – Integrated Marketing Communications Director, Coca-Cola Far East Limited
Michael Ngo – AVP Media & Budget, Asia Brewery, Inc.
 
"This year’s board is also a combination of old and new faces, something that we should welcome. It is the balance of experience and wisdom and the fresh perspective that probably can propel PANA to greater heights in the future," Newly-inducted PANA president Blen Fernando said. 
 
PANA’s 2014 plans
 
During her speech, Fernando shared PANA’s plans for the year ahead, among them the promotion of responsible advertising through their partnership with the Ad Standards Council as chair of its technical committee.
 
She also said that PANA plans to strengthen its role in creating responsible advertising for children, as well as providing learning opportunities for its members and next generation practitioners by relaunching two of its programs: the PANA awards and the Brand Academy.
 
Fernando also pledged PANA’s "unwavering support" for the upcoming Ad Summit, an initiative by 4As Philippines. 
 
New PANAF leaders
 
PANA’s advocacy and industry relations arm The PANA Foundation also inducted its 2014 officers and board of trustees. 
 
The new PANAF Officers are:
Chairman: Gigi Tibi – Chief Executive Officer, Radmanila (Friend of PANA) 
Vice-Chairman: Cathy Bengzon – Asst. Vice President and Head, Corporate Brand, Ayala Land, Inc.
Secretary: Tina Sabarre – Marketing Director, Johnson & Johnson Phils. Inc.
Treasurer: Stephanie Ann Cua – Marketing Manager, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp.
 
The new PANAF Board of Trustees are:
Patrick Carlos – SVP and Head of RBWM Marketing, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC)   Pamela Centeno – Marketing Director, Kimberly-Clark Phils., Inc.
Hans Roxas Chua – Co-Director, International Institute of Digital Marketing (Friend of PANA)
