PepsiCo Philippines launches Mirinda Powder Fun Mix

MANILA, MARCH 4, 2013 – Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) makes its first foray into the powdered juice drinks category via its orange-flavored carbonated drink brand Mirinda. Called Mirinda Powder Fun Mix, the new product is an orange-flavored juice powder that comes in 35gm sachets and 280gm pouches.

 
The new product is a part of the company’s growth plan for its non-carbonated drinks business, championed by PepsiCo chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi, who sought to change Pepsi’s focus away from carbonated drinks.

The powdered juice segment enjoys a healthy single-digit growth annually with only a few major players, said PCPPI president, Partho Chakrabarti. “We are excited at the opportunity to provide variety to our consumers. Though this is our first foray into the powdered juice drinks category, we are confident that Mirinda Powder Fun Mix will be well-received, similar to our product innovations in the past.”
