GENEVA – November 27, 2013 – In the run up to next week’s Netball Nations Cup 2013, Sportfive International, the international sports marketing agency owned by Lagardère Unlimited, has teamed up with event organizer and owner Netball Singapore. The agreement includes the host production and global distribution rights for the eighth edition of the Nations Cup which will be held in Singapore at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall from December 1 to 7, Sportfive International said in a press release.

Sportfive International has an established production and sales team in Asia, with a number of staff based in Singapore. This year’s Nations Cup 2013 will be the first edition to welcome teams from all six continents. The participating teams are hosts Singapore, who will face Papua New Guinea, Republic of Ireland, Sri Lanka, the USA and Uganda. High level international netball is anticipated, with two of the teams (Papua New Guinea and the USA) currently featured in the world’s top 20, and a number of the teams producing inspirational performances at the last World Netball Championships in 2011. The event will serve as a prelude to next year’s 9th Asian Netball Championships 2014, which will also be hosted by Singapore at the impressive new Sports Hub facility.

Sportfive International is delighted to collaborate with Netball Singapore for next week’s event and to break into the world of netball. Commenting on the partnership, Braden Clarke, Managing Director of Sportfive Asia, said: “We are very pleased to have this opportunity to work with Netball Singapore on the Nations Cup 2013.  We are proud to be producing and distributing this international event from Singapore, our home-ground in Asia. This is a great extension to our existing business and we look forward to successful cooperation with Netball Singapore in the future.”

Sportfive International recently joined forces with fellow Lagardère Unlimited-owned agency IEC in Sports to form a dedicated media and production hub. Both agencies have significant experience and a wide-reaching network across Asia and will use this to deliver successful production and distribution of this event to support the development of netball and build its relationship with Netball Singapore.
