Starcom Mediavest Group announces promotions in Singapore office

SINGAPORE – October 10, 2013 – As part of Starcom Mediavest Group’s continued investment in talent, the agency has announced four promotions in the Singapore office with immediate effect.
 
Patricia Goh has been promoted to General Manager from Executive Director of the agency, SMG said in a press release. In her new role, Goh will be working alongside with Arthur Sung, MD and Country Head of SMG Singapore to drive strategic initiatives to achieve the agency’s business and corporate goals.
 
Elaine Poh is now Executive Director from Director leading the biggest team within the agency in terms of billings. She will be taking the lead, having  the longest list of accounts in an expansive spread of industries.
 
“Pat and Elaine are exceptional talent. Pat has contributed actively in running Starcom Mediavest’s operations with new business growth, talent development and management processes while Elaine racks up an impressive record of winning awards yet maintaining a grounded solutions-based approach for her clients’ business. Both of them are pure leadership at work,” said Sung.
 
The agency also announced Janice Liong’s move up to Associate Director from Senior Manager and Brenda Chuah’s promotion from Manager to Senior Manager. 
 
Since coming onboard the Samsung Regional Hub team, Liong has been a force in driving regional operations, campaign initiatives, and establishing best practices across the region. In the process, the scope for the team had broadened and contributed to the agency’s growth. In her new role within an expanded team, Liong will be assuming accelerated leadership supporting Ian Loon, Regional Director, Account Lead & Social & Content Practice Lead, SEA to drive product enhancement, capability development, and joint business partnerships.
 
Chuah joined the Singapore office in 2010 as a Digital Manager for P&G ASEAN. During that time, she helped set up SMG Social under the guidance of Ian Loon for P&G’s inauguration to Social & Community Management. In her new role, Chuah will be pivotal in driving Starcom Mediavest Group’s capability and accelerated ambition into the Social space, SMG said.
 
Joshua Kwah has also been promoted to Associate Director within the Strategy and Growth Steering Committee.
